Follow up

Okay, So its been a while. A few weeks ago Becky was career changed from GDB, this means she was dropped from the program all together. according to the last report she was being too laud. She was barking and whining when unnecessary. (i.e: to get attention, when kenneled, when on tie down.) however her amazing first raiser was able to find her a good home of a war vet. Becky will be their assistant so to speak, helping him out with his case of P.T.S.D. Let me explain that a little better. When this person has flashbacks Becky will crawl into his lap to bring him out of it. Which she did for me all last year, but instead of flash backs they were day dreams. . . he he he. She is doing well, (so I have herd) and I get to meet the person who will be taking responsibility for her. I hope Becky is happy with the person, But I am sure she will be.
I miss her, but I know she is doing well, and she is having a blast. : )
I will be getting a new dog closer to the end of September, and I can't wait!

It's been 28 days since Becky went back to campus. I miss her so much!
I don't cry about it much anymore, in fact I used her leash today with my Chocolate Lab, Harley, Who also misses her, It's still weird not being able to have free roam in the neighborhood, And I miss that. I wish she was still here sometimes, but I know she is off making some other trainer happy (We hope)
Becky was sent back to early and she is in phase 0, which means there are too many dogs and not enough trainers. Which Sucks. But oh well. I know she is being kept busy (not an easy task, Hehehe) And I'll bet she is having a better time there than she would here.
It's still weird not holding a leash everywhere I go, but I am sort of used to it now. I had girls camp last week and all the girls told me how much they missed seeing her, and how much fun she could be at camp. Maybe next year.
I want to start a puppy the end of my junior year of High School, so I can have it through my senior year, Because I would love to be able to actually watch the dog grow. I know I am getting an intact Female in the fall, and I am really excited for that. I can't wait to get back to training.
I am running an Triathlon sprint in a few weeks and I just started training today. I am tired, but I can't sleep. I woke up at 5:20 thins morning and could not go back to sleep to save my life! So I ran a mile, read a chapter in a book, cleaned the kitchen, and started laundry. Needless to say I am still tired, and I think I'll pop in a  movie or read some more or something.

I got Becky's AKC canine Good Citizen today in the mail. It's like the world wants me not to forget her, and how could I? She was an amazing first dog, rough around the edges, but to actually see her grow and mature was an amazing experience in my life.
I love her.
I miss her.

One week later.

One week with out my Becky puppy.
Its still weird with out her, and I'm getting better about not thinking "Where is she?" But Yes I still miss her, It seems like I got her Yesterday, and at the same time it feels like she has been gone for months. Yep I miss her, and I know she is going on the do great things.
I kind of wish I could just drive down to see her every once in a while, but I know that would make it even harder on both her and me. I know she is doing well, and I really miss her. It is weird walking around anywhere without a leash in my hand and a dog at the ready. I have to carry around something in my pocket so when I am just standing somewhere I have something to fiddle with, because that is what the leash was for... Ha ha ha.
I know I'm not the only one having trouble with it, and The worst part is the dreams I keep having about her and the other dogs too, I randomly wake up going "Where is my dog!?!?!"
Well we know the dogs are doing well. And I'm sure they are having a blast, its just that I miss them.
I keep seeing Guide Dogs and Pups in training, Its like the whole world wants to remind me of how much I miss her and I do.

Last day. :' (

Today Becky Went back to the Oregon campus. :' (
We had a great year... Some ups... Some downs. But a lot of fun! I guess you could say she became my Child along the way. And I will miss her sooo much.
She is such a sweetheart. And so funny. Like this one time she started barking in class while my least favorite teacher was giving a lecture. It totally made my day.
Or how she would look up at me in math when I was being yelled at by some rude girl Becky would look up like "Mom just ignore her."
She loved Seminary because we were both accepted there. The teacher loved us. And so did a lot of other kids. She loved when we sang opening hymns.
She would crawl in in my lap during French or any other time she wanted. It was great in the winter I had my own space heater!
I am going to miss her soo much. But its all up to her now.
<3 love you Becky.

14 Months old today

Becky is 14 Months old today. : )
And acting more and more like a teenager every day X D
Becky has A month one week and 3 days left with me, which makes me sad, and happy. I'm happy to see her making progress. Sad to see her leave. She has become my sidekick! And I don't want to loose that, but I would like my freedom back XD
 Oh well
It was a lot of fun and we still have some things to work on. And we are not done yet. So I'll start updating this a lot more. (sorry I stopped for a second there) And I'll keep you updated!

: )

Becky, my class and I met the woman who wrote the book Wolves, Boys, And Other Things That Might Kill Me. She was really nice and it reminded me of my own writing. It was awesome! Becky and I have been working a lot with recalls and she is good at them but they are my favorite. We need to start working on some other things and we will get back to you on that.
She is being really good at school, but has started to randomly climb INTO my lap!!! It is so funny and cute!  My teachers think so too. My Young Women leaders love her so much! Sometimes I think they will miss her more than me, but I have bonded with her more over the past three weeks than I have since I got her. We got to see her first raiser a few weeks ago and she had no Idea we were going to be there. The look on her face made my day!
I got my drivers Permit and Becky seems to be my #1 supporter, everyone else just teases me, (and I tease them back) I'm not a bad driver but I'm not great yet either just inexperienced. And that will change in time...... I hope
Becky's Birthday is on the 28th of this month!! I'm so excited!! WHOOO HOOOO The one year mark!! She and her sister have grown up a lot. I'm so excited to have their party! : )

A long few weeks.

Becky had quite the adventure Yesterday! She found someway out of her kennel found the thing of turtle food and dumped it everywhere! and tried to eat my Ipod that was on the TOP BUNK!!!! I saved it, and now it will work all the same as before except she damaged the lens for the camera in it, which was what really really made me mad. And earlier this week she tore apart our outside garbage can it took forever to clean up!! But I forgave her, because she is only a puppy, and she does not know any better. All I can do is learn from it, and I have, and it helps to know I'm getting a job this summer to pay for a new one.
On the other hand she had a really good Christmas she got a New Kong!
